The Canada Express entry program is still getting stronger and better every year since inception, with over 100,000 candidates getting Invitations to Apply (ITA) for the permanent residence program each year. The question now is;

In the 168th Express Entry draw that took place on Wednesday – November 25, 2020, the Canadian federal government issued another 5,000 invitations to eligible Express Entry candidates. The CRS cut-off score for this draw was 469, dropping 3 points from the last draw that took place on November 18, 2020.
This is the lowest CRS cut-off score we’ve seen in an all-program draw since December 2019.
Only in 2 weeks alone, 10,000 Express Entry candidates have been invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
It is looking to be a record-breaking year for Canada’s Express Entry System. This latest draw brings the grand total for the year to 97,350 ITAs issued in 2020.
As we expect to see at least one more draw before the end of the year, we anticipate that the total number of ITAs will surpass 100,000, making this an unprecedented year in the world of Canadian immigration.
With the Canadian government pledging to admit more than 1.2 million immigrants over the next three years, we expect that this trend will continue and we will see the Canadian government issuing a higher number of invitations than ever before.

We know that for Canadian immigration aspirants, this has really been a challenging year. In spite of a global pandemic that limited the ability of foreign nationals to enter the country, Canada has still managed to issue more ITAs than ever before.
