The acronym PTE stands for Pearson Test of English
PTE is a basic requirement for admission, so anyone seeking admission for any institution that it is needed, must take the PTE. It is designed to evaluate test taker’s language ability before considering acceptance into educational institutions.
The purpose of PTE is to accurately access the listening, reading, speaking and writing ability of test takers who want to study at institutions where English is the principal language of instruction.

PTE Academic assesses the four language skills- Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The PTE Academic consists of three main parts namely Part 1: Speaking and Writing, Part 2: Reading and Part 3: Listening.
The PTE records an overall score which is based on your performance on all test items. For each item, the score you obtain contributes to the overall score. The score range for the overall score is 10 – 90 points. The minimum number of points awarded in PTE Academic is 10 and the maximum is 90.
PTE Academic scores are valid for two (2) years from the date the PTE Academic exam was taken.
At MEC our registration fee for PTE exam is ₦70,000.
The coaching fee at MEC is flexible in such a manner that works flexible for you; you have the choice to map out what time works best for you. Typically, the standard monthly coaching fee is ₦25,000 for weekday classes and ₦30,000 for weekend classes. Standard coaching duration is one (1) month.

Yes, we have trained Tutors across Nigeria capable of taking you through all the sections of the PTE test. We can also assist you via Skype video platform. After the exam registration, we will automatically create a skype ID for you, which will enable you attend all classes online at agreed time between you and your teachers. You will also need to buy our study materials/textbooks + CDs for easy follow up both during and after each class. When this is in place, you will be glad you ever dealt with us.
No. We have current study materials (complete textbooks) for sale at extra cost. However it’s not mandatory to have these materials before joining our classes. You can still be able to make use of our several study materials available at the centre at no additional cost.
